Today Coinbase took to both twitter and their blog to announce that now you can buy XRP on both Coinbase.com and the mobile apps for Android and iOS. This comes shortly after the announcement that XRP would be listed on Coinbase Pro, just a few days ago.

As both the market and the community are usually pretty hot to respond to these types of things, both have been rather quiet. The price of XRP did see a bit of a spike on the original listing news, only to settle down to levels only slightly higher than before the news. As of now though, the price is barely moving in response to this development, up only 1% for the day overall.
Twitter as well has been mixed but luke warm, it seems. Some people are definitely satisfied:

The Coinbase listing reminds me of the R3 - Ripple settlement. They are 2 different situations but Ripple managed to "make peace" with the opposing party in both situations. We all know what happend after R3 (Corda Settler). I'm expecting something to occur after Coinbase.

Others are focusing on the negatives, like the general lack of impact and the fact some places, such as the UK, still are not included:

Ultimately despite getting what they asked for, it seems the XRP community didn't feel much in response to this or the previous listing news. As for the rest of us, we're just happy to see the community expanding and more options available on Coinbase!
