It is official! According to the Coinbase blog, XRP will soon be available for trading on Coinbase Pro. The XRP army is ecstatic.

Support for XRP will initially be available for Coinbase Pro users in the US, (however, not in New York), in the UK, in most of the European Union member nations, Canada, Singapore, and Australia.

The blog adds that additional jurisdictions may be added at a later date.

When XRP?? Now! XRP/USD, XRP/EUR, and XRP/BTC order books will soon enter transfer-only mode, accepting inbound transfers of XRP in supported regions. Orders cannot be placed or filled. Order books will be in transfer-only mode for a minimum of 12 hours. https://t.co/MWUtUm4wRh

After 10am on February 25, 2019 Coinbase will begin accepting inbound transfers of XRP to Coinbase Pro.

'We will accept deposits for a minimum of 12 hours prior to enabling full trading. Please note that inbound transfers require the specification of an XRP destination tag', the blog reads.

The blog further points out that XRP is not yet available on Coinbase.com or via their mobile apps. However, they will make a separate announcement when that occurs.

The XRP army is more than excited to say the least.

About damn time Coinbase got their shit together. Sounds like someone finally got through to Brian Armstrong to list XRP. Who knows why? Maybe it was done deliberately to hold off until this specific time. Lines up with institutional exchange, SBI going live too.
