Immutable X, the leading developer platform for web3 games, announced the company’s decision to launch Immutable Passport, an exclusive program for onboarding gamers into web3.

Notably, Immutable X tweeted sharing the platform’s initiative in “developing Immutable Passport, the instant non-custodial wallet onboarding solution for web3 games”:

Primarily, with the introduction of the new Passport, Immutable X intends to provide “an all-in-one wallet, gamer, profile, onboarding, and authentication solution” for web3 gamers. The company claimed that security, compliance, easiness of onboarding, etc are the main features of web3 gaming studios.

Significantly, the platform assured that the new system would guide web3 gaming studios to drive adoption across mainstream audiences, along with maintaining enterprise-grade security and accessing meaningful data.

Furthermore, Immutable provides a clear description of the Passport’s security and reliability and states:

Passport offers a non-custodial solution that never holds the user’s private keys nor is involved in signing transactions. Players get access to a secure digital wallet, protection against fraud, and seamless authentication across web3 games and marketplaces.

In addition, the company commented on its expectations of the Immutable Passport becoming parallel to the other web3 gaming systems. Also, it mentioned the company’s aim to “remove web3 onboarding hurdles” by simplifying the processes involved in account creation and management.

Robbie Ferguson, the co-founder of Immutable talked about the immense efforts of the company to make web3 gaming “reach a billion players”. He stated:

For web3 gaming to reach a billion players, onboarding must be invisible, secure, and work across any game- mobile, console, or desktop. Until now, security and friction have been tradeoffs.

Recently, many blockchain-based gaming platforms have been stepping in front with innovative ideas including Ubisoft, and Square Enix introducing new Non-Fungible Tokens (NFTs).
