Blockchain security firm PeckShield has detected a DeFi hack that allowed the attacker to mint over 1 quadrillion yUSDT and swap it for $11.6 million worth of stablecoins. The hacker has already transferred 1,000 Ether worth almost $2 million to the cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash.
Yearn Finance and Aave have confirmed that their current protocols are not affected by the exploit. According to CertiK, over $320 million were lost to DeFi hacks in Q1 2023, lower than Q1 2022 and Q4 2022.
