GenesisL1, a blockchain network focused on decentralized science, has launched GL1X, an open-source explorer and bioinformatics laboratory. The platform allows researchers and AI agents to access blockchain data and scientific tools directly through a browser or the Model Context Protocol (MCP).

GL1X provides 87 read-only tools, including DNA sequence searches, protein structure analysis, binding-site detection, pH analysis, and scientific database searches. AI assistants such as Claude and ChatGPT can connect to the platform without an API key. Unlike standard blockchain explorers, GL1X also provides access to scientific records and tools for analysing biological data.

As of October 20, the platform had indexed more than 1.03 million molecular records and analysed nearly one million protein structures. Its database includes 4.18 million binding pockets and 3.68 million ligand instances, covering structures used in peptide and ageing research.

GL1X also provides data on the GenesisL1 network’s economy. Its native L1 token is used for transaction fees, computing, staking, and governance.

GenesisL1 says GL1X includes calibration data, verification tools for on-chain and IPFS records, and an MIT open-source license. The platform brings blockchain records and established bioinformatics tools into one environment, allowing both researchers and AI agents to analyse scientific data with verifiable sources.
