Strive acquired the 3,311 $BTC at an average price of approximately $84,500 per coin, including fees and expenses. The purchase represents a significant addition to the company’s growing Bitcoin reserves.
The acquisition comes amid reported warrant exercises that generated approximately $208 million for Strive. Reports also indicated that around 15.3 million warrants remained outstanding following the transactions.
Warrant exercises can provide companies with additional cash to finance Bitcoin purchases, although issuing shares can dilute existing shareholders. The amount of further capital Strive can raise will depend on the terms of its outstanding warrants and whether holders choose to exercise them.
The company has steadily increased its holdings through capital-market transactions and other financing initiatives. Its previously reported balance stood at 29,462 $BTC, making the latest acquisition a substantial increase in its treasury.
Strive pursues a larger position among Bitcoin holders
Strive’s growing treasury reflects its ambition to become one of the largest publicly traded corporate Bitcoin holders. Continued acquisitions could help the company advance that goal, although its ranking will depend on future purchases and the activity of competing treasury firms.
The strategy also exposes the company to Bitcoin price fluctuations and the costs of raising capital. Its ability to sustain further purchases will depend on access to financing, investor demand for its securities, and market conditions.
Yesterday, Michael Saylor’s Strategy scooped up 250 $BTC to increase its holdings to 848,250 $BTC. Previously, Metaplanet increased its $BTC holdings to 44,000, continuing its aggressive purchasing streak.
At press time, $BTC is trading at around $83,500, rising by around 1% over the last day. Bitcoin’s trading volume is up by 30.28%, settling at $31 billion.
