Following the BCH Bliss conference, a focal event for Bitcoin Cash enthusiasts held May 14-15 in Ljubljana, Slovenia, Jonathan Silverblood introduced a Bitcoin Cash Podcast on X, featuring a collection of tracks from the event. This gathering also celebrated the “Jessica” upgrade, which launched the network’s innovative adaptive block size limit.

BCH Bliss 2024: A Hub for Innovation and Networking in Bitcoin Cash Community

This week, Jonathan Silverblood, the organizer of BCH Bliss 2024 and co-founder of General Protocols, released a Youtube video on social media that captures the entirety of the conference. The event received backing from BCH Bull, General Protocols, The Bitcoin Cash Podcast, Ravish, and Commercial Kitchen Stop.

The conference showcased insights on a range of Bitcoin Cash subjects, presented by experts such as Calin Culianu, Dagur Valberg, Elliot Price, John Nieri, Kilian De Roovere, Mathieu Geukens, Ray Hatten, and Rosco Kalis. Additionally, BCH Bliss featured a panel where crypto industry veterans discussed strategies for driving adoption among the next billion users.

In a recent discussion with Bitcoin.com News, Silverblood expressed his views on the event’s impact and reach. “The Bliss 2024 conference celebrated the Bitcoin Cash upgrade to dynamic blocksize with thought-provoking presentations, deep technical discussions, and real-world use of BCH for everything from food and travel to the conference tickets themselves,” the General Protocols co-founder remarked.

Silverblood added:

Apart from the presentations which are now on Youtube, the event was highly successful in terms of networking and I expect to see projects, features, and joint efforts come to fruition over the year, attributing the Bliss 2024 conference as their origin. It was, truly, a you-had-to-be-there event.

Additionally, the BCH Bliss conference facilitated a platform for projects and builders to display their innovations and hosted exclusive social and networking events for builders and VIPs. The event took place following the Bitcoin Cash halving at block height 840,000. During the conference, the successful implementation of the adaptive block size limit (ABLA) was executed and announced through the BCH Bliss X account.

Essentially, ABLA establishes a baseline block size of 32 MB. It continuously tracks the block sizes generated across the network over a specified period. Should the observed block sizes consistently near the existing limit, ABLA will proactively increase the limit to preemptively meet demand. Conversely, if network activity diminishes, ABLA will gradually lower the limit to cut down on infrastructure expenses.

Amid the wake of the BCH Bliss conference, the Bitcoin Cash community aims to embark on an era of unprecedented innovation and growth. With a fortified network through the “Jessica” upgrade and a burgeoning ecosystem underscored by enthusiastic participation, expectations are high. As builders and proponents rally behind BCH, scaling efforts are in full swing, promising to usher in massive adoption and significant developments for the blockchain network.
