Ethereum scaling platform Polygon is donating $100,000 to Gitcoin Grants Round 14 to ramp up the ongoing support for upcoming projects building on the Polygon network.

Supporting Upcoming Web3 Projects Building on Polygon

On June 27, Polygon Network’s official account tweeted,

"Polygon has donated $100,000 to the Gitcoin Grants Round 14 and the core team has pledged $1M as part of the continued efforts to support upcoming Web3 projects building on Polygon."

https://twitter.com/0xPolygon/status/1541353355334672385 The core team has already pledged $1 million to Gitcoin over five quarterly grants until December 2022. All these funds will encourage the growth of web3 projects building on the Polygon ecosystem. Currently, the Polygon Ecosystem Round application is open to everyone that meets the essential criteria. This includes accomplishing the following for Polygon such as usability, community, improving the developer experience, building tools and enhancements for governance, and applications integrating with and supporting Polygon. Additional criteria include the project not having its own token or previously raised VC funding. It should also be open source. Overall, the Grant owner must be directly affiliated with the project where the funds must go to the project and be used for the purposes stated in Grant’s details. There will be a 10% matching cap in this round, meaning the most matching any one grant can receive is 10% of the total pool. A matching pool of $100,000 will be paid out in DAI.
