We recently reported that both Tron and its founder, Justin Sun were shaded by a former chief strategy officer at BitTorrent.
Simon Morris has just revealed that the BTT is not suitable for the Tron network.
He claims that Tron would definitely not be able to handle the high rate of transactions of BitTorrent.
He also slammed Sun, saying that although he’s a good marketing man, he doesn’t have a clue on technology and he also has a “Trumpian” approach of things. Justin Sun eventually addressed a few of Morris’ accusations, as Cryptoslate reported.
Taking some of the heat off of Tron
Yesterday, Sun wrote a Reddit post titled “Addressing the Recent Questions Around BitTorrent Token’s Upcoming Rollout.”
He probably wanted to take some of the heat off of Tron.
Despite officially blasting Morris as a “disgruntled employee” with “little insight into Tron operational plans,” as Breaker reported, Sun highlighted that the man had spoken one truth in his interview:
“The former employee, Simon Morris, got one thing right in his statement to an online cryptocurrency outlet: based on confidential research done while he was at BitTorrent, he describes the project’s tremendous potential: ‘Automated auctions to prioritize download queues, Morris says, could make the entire BitTorrent network as much as 40 percent faster.”
Sun did not address Morris’ mocking towards him. He did not say anything about the fact that Morris claimed Sun does not have a tech bone in his body and he takes a Trumpian approach.
The project’s whitepaper holds all the answers
Tron’s founder also made sure to highlight the fact that the project’s whitepaper, answers most of the questions that Morris had in the online article, and it’s also important to note that the white paper was published before that article was out.
Tron might indeed have a unique and innovative solutio0n for enhanced scaling for BitTorrent.
