BTC, ETH, TRX, ADA Spendable in 700+K Hotels as Travala Signs New Deal

Crypto travel and accommodation Platform, Travala, has just announced the signing of a new partnership deal with Expedia Group, a US-based online travel shopping company, permitting a number of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Ethereum, Binance Coin, TRON, Cardano among others to be spendable in over 700,000 hotels and accommodations across the world.

Travala signed the deal with Expedia Partner Solutions (EPS), a B2B partnership brand of the Expedia Group powered by EPS’s versatile API. Over 700,000 Expedia Group accommodations are now available on the crypto friendly travel platform Travala, allowing users make payment at the hotels with over 30 cryptocurrencies available on Travala platform.

As revealed in a report by Travala today (July 6, 2020), the over 700,00 new hotels have been added to the existing over 2 million accommodation options available on Travala’s platform, where cryptocurrencies can be used as a payment option.

Travala has presence in over 230 countries of the world, and it has been signing myriads of partnerships to enhance the spending of cryptocurrency in various hotels.

The Senior Vice president at Expedia Group, Alfonso Paredes, said the company is delighted to partner with Travala as booking and payment means is gradually changing across the world. Alfonso further said, Expedia has the objective of supporting Travala by promoting its business and letting it offer travelers better experience.

The CEO of Travala, Juan Otero, explained that the partnership unlocks greater advantages for users, with new accommodation choice available.

While the lasting novel virus COVID-19 prevented people from traveling, Travala noted that people’s interest in travel is gradually returning, as it recorded 81% ‘increase in room nights booked’ in its latest month-on-month report. Travala said it also saw 50% growth in its website traffic week-on-week.

Otero averred that the partnership with Expedia will let Travala offer an ‘unparalleled last-minute availability and fantastic rates and offers’.

Travala Deals in the Past

Over the years, the crypto friendly booking and travel platform, has been signing lots of partnership that offer users more places to spend their crypto assets.

After adding 90,000 accommodations to the Travala’s catalogue in November 2019, via a partnership deal with booking.com, the crypto booking and travel platform recorded 33% rise in its income in January 2020.

In late May 2020, another deal was also finalized between Travala.com and TravelByBit.
