Chainlink's $LINK ecosystem has had an active October, with product launches aimed at institutions, a new network integration and further additions to its token reserve. The price of $LINK has moved the other way over the same period.

Fulcrum and Stellar Lead October Launches

Chainlink introduced Chainlink Fulcrum,

a platform designed to connect banks, hedge funds, pension funds, and corporate treasuries to on-chain markets for round-the-clock collateral management and financing

The solution combines the Chainlink Runtime Environment, CCIP for cross-chain data and asset transfers, and Data Streams for collateral valuation data.
Chainlink demonstrated Fulcrum with DTCC at Sibos 2026.

Crypto Briefing noted that

no specific institutional pilots, adoption metrics, or financial figures have been disclosed alongside the launch

.

Chainlink also went live on Stellar (@StellarOrg).

Chainlink has been delivering its price data on Stellar since 14 October.
The data services are live on Stellar's mainnet, improving access to market data for Stellar's $4 billion tokenized asset ecosystem.
According to reports on the launch, the Stellar Development Foundation carries the running operating cost of the oracles.

Further announcements came at the Link:NYC conference. According to Chainlink's event recap,

Chainlink launched CustodySync to connect institutional capital to DeFi lending markets, with Anchorage Digital as the official launch partner, and released Chainlink 24/7 to unlock always-on pricing for tokenized RWAs, with Aave adopting it.

The recap also lists

Hanwha adopting CCIP for its global tokenization platform

Reserve Grows While $LINK Price Falls

On the token side,

Chainlink announced on Oct. 30 that its reserve had added 427,577 $LINK during October, worth more than $5.3 million, bringing reported holdings to 6,475,076 $LINK.

TokenPost points out that

the figure is an October-to-date total, not a completed-month tally.
The reserve converts offchain enterprise revenue and onchain service usage into $LINK through Payment Abstraction.

The price has not tracked the news flow.

$LINK was recorded at $11.42 on October 31, 2026, according to CoinGecko's market snapshot

, and

had fallen 21.64% over the previous 30 days

. CoinMarketCap reported that

following the Binance security breach on 29 October, the attacker sold approximately 2.57 million $LINK among other assets.

As an OKX Orbit post put it,

a launch is not usage, so watch which institutions actually go live.

Adoption of Fulcrum and the other products announced this month will be the main test of whether the activity translates into sustained network demand.
