AEON, a payment platform connecting blockchain assets with real-world purchases, has partnered with Apertum, a Layer-1 blockchain built within the Avalanche ecosystem. The integration allows holders of Apertum’s native token, $APTM, to pay for purchases through AEON Pay.

Users can scan and pay at local stores or make bank transfers in more than 20 countries, including the USA, Japan, Brazil, Vietnam, and South Africa. The service also supports payments at more than 100,000 global brands, including McDonald’s, Starbucks, Apple, Nike, and H&M, where available.

Apertum launched in February 2025, and its token is now traded on eight crypto exchanges. AEON is also developing payment tools for AI agents. In May, the company launched a product that allows AI agents to make on-chain transactions and connect with more than 50 million merchants worldwide.
