The arrangement will not change existing invoice terms or payment due dates. Instead, it focuses on how quickly suppliers receive their money.
$RLUSD is central to the plan. Ripple’s US dollar-backed stablecoin has grown to a market capitalization of more than $2.5 billion, with over $1 billion issued on the $XRP Ledger. Its role in C2FO Instant Pay could extend the stablecoin’s use into business transactions and supply chain finance.
Commenting on the development, Markus Infanger, SVP, RippleX at Ripple, said,
“Working capital is a powerful example of where blockchain can make an existing financial market work better. C2FO brings an established marketplace, real commercial activity and demonstrated financing demand. XRPL is well suited to this use case because it can represent and move financial assets with fast, deterministic settlement and low transaction costs, while $RLUSD provides a stable way to settle those transactions.”
Busy Week For Ripple
In a separate announcement, Ripple revealed an expanded collaboration with BNY to support $XRP and $RLUSD custody on the bank’s digital asset platform. The two companies will also explore tokenized trade finance, while BNY plans to support more XRPL-based assets and enable clients to mint and redeem $RLUSD directly through the bank. The goal is to improve payments, settlement, and collateral management.

Ripple has seen several developments in recent weeks. At Swell 2026, the company introduced AI-powered workflow automation and 24/7 Returns through Ripple Treasury, allowing eligible businesses to earn returns on qualifying digital assets, including $RLUSD, outside traditional banking hours.
It has also secured final approval from the US Office of the Comptroller of the Currency for Ripple National Trust Bank, CEO Brad Garlinghouse said. The approval paves the way for federally supervised services covering $RLUSD reserves and digital asset custody.
