Bubblemaps Alleges Anglio-Linked Wallets Traded Ahead of Pump.fun Calls

Bubblemaps alleged on Oct. 14 that five wallets connected to Pump.fun caller Anglio bought tokens seconds before his recommendations and sold minutes later. The onchain analytics firm estimated $130,000 in profits from trading and Callout Rewards on wallets it linked to him.

In an analysis of 534 callouts over two weeks, Bubblemaps said the cluster bought before 61% of his recommendations. “On average, they bought 20 seconds before each callout and started selling 4 minutes after,” the firm wrote. Its estimate comprises $50,000 from trading and $80,000 from callout rewards.

The allegation puts a potential conflict between callers and their followers in focus as Pump.fun changes how it pays for recommendations. The platform’s callouts broadcast token picks to followers; its original reward rules paid callers according to the trading volume they generated. On Oct. 10, co-founder Alon announced a shift toward whether followers actually made money, alongside reduced rewards for low-cap token calls.

Bubblemaps described a recurring sequence: the five wallets bought first, followed by Anglio’s public wallet, then the callout appeared. The firm alleged that the side wallets sold after the token peaked, while the public wallet sold last.

For its attribution, Bubblemaps cited two shared deposit addresses and money routed from wallets it identified as Anglio’s to the cluster. Pump.fun’s public profile data independently links the Anglio account and X handle to the public wallet beginning `2ksQ77`, and lists about 80,000 followers. That confirms the public-wallet association, not control of the five other wallets. The Defiant could not independently verify that control or reproduce the cluster’s trading timestamps and profit calculations.

Bubblemaps also said its estimate covers trades involving the side wallets, rather than Anglio’s overall trading performance.

Rewards Shift Toward Followers’ Profits

As The Defiant previously reported, Alon said the changes would roll out over several days, beginning with the Oct. 10 payout. “Volume will cease to be the main attributer for rewards,” he wrote.

In an Oct. 12 follow-up, Alon said the immediate goal was to stop rewarding low-cap callers who generated volume regardless of followers’ outcomes. He also acknowledged that reducing microcap rewards could penalize successful early recommendations, and said the market-cap threshold was not yet public.

The changes do not provide a way to claw back earlier payouts: Alon said on Oct. 9 that already-paid rewards could not be reversed, even if the team later considered them unjustified.
