Grayscale, one of the world’s leading digital asset management companies, has completed its fund rebalancing process for the second quarter of 2026. The company updated the asset weightings across its DeFi, Smart Contract, and Decentralized AI funds, with the inclusion of $BNB in the Smart Contract Fund being particularly noteworthy.
According to data released by Grayscale, as of August 3, Uniswap ($UNI) was the largest asset in the DeFi Fund with 34.16%. $UNI was followed by Ondo Finance (ONDO) with 25.44%, Aave (AAVE) with 19.97%, Ethena (ENA) with 12.19%, Curve DAO (CRV) with 4.42%, and Lido DAO (LDO) with 3.82%. Thus, the company has reshaped its portfolio allocation in the decentralized finance sector in line with current market conditions.
The most notable change occurred in the Smart Contract Fund. Grayscale added $BNB to the fund’s portfolio for the first time. Following the update, $BNB now constitutes approximately 31% of the fund, while Ethereum (ETH) and Solana (SOL) each hold a 29% weighting. This move is seen as a demonstration of Grayscale’s confidence in the $BNB ecosystem and the long-term potential of the $BNB Chain.
