Ripple has achieved a significant milestone for the forthcoming decentralized finance (DeFi) capabilities on the $XRP Ledger. Leading Web3 security firm Halborn recently concluded a comprehensive re-audit of the XRPL Lending Protocol, confirming that all reported findings from earlier reviews have been addressed or strategically managed by the core engineering team.
The Lending Protocol, codified under the XLS-0066d standard, is a foundational DeFi primitive designed to enable fixed-term, uncollateralized on-chain loans utilizing pooled funds from a Single Asset Vault.
The scope of the re-audit
Between mid-December 2025 and January 2026, Halborn conducted a diff-based re-audit, focusing explicitly on the significant codebase modifications introduced since the protocol's prior summer audit.
