Ripple, a company that develops blockchain solutions for financial institutions, announced an expansion of its partnership with Bitso, a digital financial services provider focused on Latin America. As part of the new stage of cooperation, Bitso’s Mexican peso-backed stablecoin MXNB will be launched on the $XRP Ledger (XRPL) and integrated into Ripple’s payment infrastructure.
The companies plan to use MXNB together with RLUSD to improve liquidity and settlement processes for cross-border payments between the United States and Mexico. Ripple and Bitso have worked together for several years on payment services across Latin America, including settlement corridors involving the Mexican peso and Colombian peso.
MXNB will also be added to XRPL’s Permissioned DEX, a decentralized exchange designed for regulated financial activity. The platform allows verified participants to access on-chain liquidity and settlement services while meeting compliance requirements.
