Polymath, a company developing infrastructure for regulated digital assets, announced the launch of Confidential Assets on the Polymesh blockchain. The new feature is designed to give financial institutions more privacy when working with tokenized securities and real-world assets on a public blockchain.

Confidential Assets is built directly into the blockchain protocol and uses zero-knowledge cryptography to hide transaction data from the public while still allowing regulators, auditors, and approved parties to access required information. Institutions can verify compliance and transfer assets without revealing sensitive details like portfolio size or counterparties.

Polymesh is a public-permissioned blockchain created specifically for regulated financial products. The network includes built-in identity verification, settlement tools, and governance functions instead of relying only on external smart contracts.

The company also confirmed it is developing a post-quantum-ready version of the system to prepare for future cryptographic risks. Earlier this year, Polymesh achieved SOC 2 Type 1 compliance, and the Confidential Assets feature is now available for institutional users on the network.
