General Updates

COZ completed the first round of renewed Proof of Working rewards, detailing the distribution of 440 $NEO across seven community contributions in its Proof of Working 2.0 transparency report. Proof of Working is a COZ-led initiative intended to reward grassroots ecosystem work that may not align with traditional grant or sponsorship pathways. COZ revived the program to recognize tangible output such as tooling, research, analytics, and infrastructure, shared publicly with clear proof of delivery.

R3E Network launched a Red Envelope app to celebrate the Chinese New Year, allowing users to open lucky red packets on Neo N3 for a chance to win $GAS. The app’s current featured giveaway is funded with 100 $GAS, which is distributed across 100 claim slots. To participate, users must satisfy a “$NEO Gate” requirement that checks for a wallet holding at least one $NEO for more than one day. The $GAS used in the giveaway was donated by NNT.

R3E Network released a new blockchain explorer for Neo N3. The explorer is currently using the OneGate for its backend, but is expected to have improved performance after migrating to its own infrastructure.

NeoUltimateShop added support for NeoRedPill’s NRP token as a payment method, enabling shoppers to purchase merchandise using the Neo N3-based asset at checkout. The team described the integration as NRP’s first “real-world” utility, positioning the token as a spendable asset within the NeoUltimateShop storefront.

Neobox released a brief update noting AI integration on the roadmap, including AI-powered game creation, and no-code accessibility that will allow users without coding experience to create games.

nDapp released a weekly N3 $GAS check-in, noting that network users claimed approximately 60,477 $GAS over the past week and that on-chain activity burned about 230 $GAS.

NNT hosted a GasBot Trivia round where participants had a chance to compete for a pool of 4 $GAS rewards.

Frank Coin hosted a GasBot trivia contest on the FrankCoin channel of the NeoF1 Discord server, rewarding participants with 3 $GAS.

Developer Updates

Neo SPCC completed the following updates:

  • Released NeoGo v0.117.0, which introduces support for custom SYSCALL-based witnesses for the notary service and a set of extensions to the scparser package for VM script reverse-engineering.
  • Highlighted an update to its Tillich–Zémor hashing library with the tzhash v1.8.4 release. The update raises the minimum build requirement to Go 1.25 and refreshes the golang.org/x/sys dependency to v0.41.0.
  • Released NeoFS node v0.51.1, introducing new operational and admin tooling, including the neofs-cli container policy check command and new neofs-adm mainchain commands for update and version. The update also fixes several storage and network issues, such as unclosed compressed FSTree files, repeated attempts to delete nonexistent objects, and configuration address changes not triggering netmap updates. Additionally, the release speeds up metabase resync with batch operations and updates dependencies to NeoGo 0.117.0 and neofs-contracts 0.26.1.

NNT Catch Up

NNT released Episode 107 of The Smart Economy Podcast featuring Olivia Vande Woude, head of tokenization at Ava Labs. Ava Labs is the software company supporting the Avalanche blockchain, a platform designed to enable customized, high-performance blockchain infrastructure for institutions, enterprises, and consumer applications. Topics of discussion include why tokenization bottlenecks are more about distribution than technology; what institutions actually care about when choosing blockchain infrastructure; why “distributed assets” matter more than headline tokenization metrics; and how RWAs, private credit, and stablecoins are being used in practice, among other topics.

NNT hosted Crypto Coffee and Blockchain Beer Space #84 on the official The Smart Economy Podcast X account. Topics of discussion included the value of Ethereum Boulder and access to builders, the vibes on the ground at ETH Denver, a brief overview of the video interviews with attendees from both events, and finding long-term builders to work with in crypto and blockchain.
