- Ondo Global Markets has secured authorization to offer tokenized stocks and ETFs throughout the EU and the wider EEA.
- This follows Ondo’s partnership with BX Digital to introduce tokenized versions of traditional financial instruments.
Ondo Finance, a decentralized finance (DeFi) ecosystem focused on tokenizing real-world assets (RWAs) such as stocks, exchange-traded funds (ETFs), and U.S. Treasuries, has secured regulatory clearance to operate across Europe.
This approval enables more than 500 million investors throughout the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA) to access tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs within a fully compliant regulatory framework.
The company’s subsidiary, Ondo Global Markets, received formal authorization from the Liechtenstein Financial Market Authority (FMA) to issue tokenized versions of U.S. equities.
Thanks to Liechtenstein’s financial passporting regime, this approval extends far beyond its borders, granting access across all 27 EU member states as well as Norway and Iceland, nearly 30 countries in total.
In a recent X post, Ondo highlighted the growth behind its network, stating that
Ondo Global Markets continues to define the future of tokenized finance, operating as the largest platform for tokenized securities with $315+ million in TVL and over $1 billion in volume since launch, setting the benchmark for how traditional markets move on-chain.
According to Ondo’s documentation, the tokenized stocks and ETFs offered through Ondo Global Markets may be limited to qualified investors or professional clients in certain jurisdictions. These tokens do not confer direct ownership of the underlying securities.
Instead, holders receive economic exposure without shareholder rights such as voting or participation in corporate governance. Additionally, the tokens are not registered under the U.S. Securities Act of 1933 and therefore are not available to U.S. persons.
Partnership with BX Digital
A key part of Ondo’s European strategy is its partnership with BX Digital, a Swiss exchange under the Boerse Stuttgart Group. More than 100 tokenized equities and ETFs from Ondo will be listed and traded as Exchange-Traded Products (ETPs) on BX Digital’s regulated digital-asset exchange.
For retail investors across Europe, the BX Digital integration makes institutional-grade financial assets far more accessible. The investors gain the benefits of faster settlement, far quicker than traditional two-day processing, along with global transferability and programmability as Ondo intends to expand its tokenized asset catalog to more than 1,000 assets by the end of this year.
Beyond Europe, Ondo is broadening access through new ecosystems. PancakeSwap and Ondo Finance announced on October 29 that Ondo Global Markets’ tokenized RWAs will now be available for trading on BNB Chain through PancakeSwap’s DEX.
Ondo has also partnered with Chainlink to deliver custom price feeds for each tokenized equity, with Chainlink officially joining the Ondo Global Market Alliance to support accurate on-chain pricing.
Ondo’s network growth is reflected in its latest metrics. Ondo Finance now reports a Total Value Locked (TVL) of $1.825 billion and a Distributed Asset Value of $1.79 billion, representing a slight 0.08% decrease over the past 30 days.
Despite this minor dip, platform activity continues to surge: the number of holders has climbed by 40.95% to 39,846, Monthly Transfer Volume has risen by 78.60% to $720.40 million, and Monthly Active Addresses have jumped by 82.63% to 45,677. Currently, Ondo reports an RWA Count of 105 while the network’s token trades at $0.5350.
