Whale activity attracted attention in the cryptocurrency market today.
A mysterious investor has made headlines with a purchase of 24 million $ASTER ($46.56 million). According to on-chain data, whale wallet 0xFB3B deposited approximately 73.95 million $USDT to the Gate.io exchange 19 hours ago and attracted attention by withdrawing 24 million $ASTER an hour earlier.
Another whale wallet, 0x8bcd, also spent 1.18 million $USDT in a single transaction, purchasing 595,580 $ASTER at an average price of $1.99.
Alongside individual purchases, well-known names were also active in the market. BitMEX co-founder Arthur Hayes stood out with his purchase of 1,630 AAVE ($442,000).
Meanwhile, losses were experienced on the $PUMP side. Whale wallet BV2gzZ closed out his position by selling 307.27 million $PUMP ($1.73 million) at an average price of $0.00564. However, this sale resulted in a loss of approximately $582,000. The $PUMP tokens in question had been purchased nine days earlier for $2.31 million at an average price of $0.00753.
A different picture emerged on the $AVAX front. Wallet address 0xb2ca opened a 5x leveraged long position for 514,906 $AVAX ($17.2 million) nine hours ago. The whale has now made $1.1 million in unrealized profits.
