  • Sebastian took to X to point out how VeChain’s system is quietly going online while other networks are still bogged down by high fees.
  • He predicted that by Q1 2026, VeChain would stand out as the first blockchain to monetize digital trust at scale truly.

Vechain (VET) has had a busy roadmap for 2025. It has been building, engaging with the community, and continuously setting itself apart from other blockchains. Sebastian. Vet, a Vechain ambassador, is labelling this fourth quarter of the year as “The Silent Build. The Final Upgrade. The System Goes Online”.

Don’t get confused, Vechain was launched in 2015 by Sunny Lu. However, in this quarter and the days to come, we will get to see its full potential.

In his post, Sebastian. Vet made a comparison with other established blockchains. He pointed out how Ethereum (ETH) is still waiting on Proto-Danksharding, Avalanche (AVAX) is busy bribing validators, meme coins can’t stop tweeting about “community,” and L2s are still stuck in beta while retail investors have “left the chat.” He then says that VeChain went with a different approach: “VeChain went quiet. Upgraded everything. And it is now fully online.”

VeChain’s Quiet Grind

“You’re reading a launch log,” he says. VeChain’s roadmap entails the Renaissance, a series of upgrades transforming the VeChainThor blockchain throughout 2025, rolled out in three phases: Galactica, Hayabusa, and Interstellar.

The first wave, Galactica, officially went live on July 1, following a successful testnet run. It introduced a dynamic fee market that adjusts gas costs based on network load to prevent spam attacks while burning 100% of all VTHO fees, making the network more secure and economically sustainable.

Alongside that came the Shanghai EVM upgrade, which lets developers bring over popular Ethereum toolkits and dApps with ease, while still enjoying VeChain’s unique perks like fee delegation, a two-token model, and multi-clause transactions.

Then came the Hayabusa phase, already rolling out with full mainnet integration expected by Q4 2025. At its core is StarGate, VeChain’s next-gen staking platform, where users stake VET and receive NFT-based staking collateral, opening new decentralized tiers and participation models.

Together, these upgrades are setting the stage for VeChain’s most ambitious evolution yet.

Other chains are praying for L2s. VeChain built one layer that works. Near-zero fees, no downtime. Hard forkless upgrades. Enterprise-grade throughput. Dynamic pricing. Fully on mainnet,

Currently, the Vechain Toolchain ensures that Tokenized records ensure data authenticity and ownership can be verified instantly. VeChain’s NFT Standard (VIP-181) enables secure, verifiable digital identities for people, businesses, and even products.

ESG traceability tools make sustainability efforts visible and auditable, while supply chain visibility delivers unprecedented clarity across logistics and manufacturing networks.

Key Metrics and Recognition

Sebastian also highlighted key metrics to watch in Q4 2025, including daily VTHO burn rates, validator count, growth in staked VET, app usage per contract, issuance of decentralized identities (DIDs) and NFTs, and the pace of data layer integrations across ESG, identity, and supply chain use cases.

He projected that by Q1 2026, VeChain would stand out as the most widely used enterprise-ready blockchain, the most composable system for real-world applications, the only crypto with a fully functional regenerative tokenomics loop, and the first to monetize digital trust at scale, “Book it,” he said confidently.

These projections might already be coming to life. According to Crypto News Flash, VeChain is gaining recognition in academic circles. An academic paper by Jihong Xie, Gui Wu, Xiang Zhou, and Shanshan Deng, published on July 30 and titled “Future Perspectives on Internet of Vehicles Resource Management: Digital Twin‑Enabled Edge Computing Frameworks”.

Sebastian. Vet also shared that the June 2025 issue of Acta Logistica, a peer-reviewed journal from Slovakia focused on logistics, transportation, and supply chain research, spotlighted VeChain as a key infrastructure leader in modern logistics.
