- Changpeng Zhao teased the development of AI agents on BNB Chain, aligning with its 2025 roadmap for blockchain-integrated artificial intelligence.
- The Broccoli meme coin frenzy drove over 700 coin launches on Solana and BNB Chain, with market caps hitting billions within days.
- CZ remains involved in crypto discussions despite stepping down from Binance, emphasizing development over hype-driven projects.
Changpeng Zhao, the former CEO of Binance, is signaling a possible move into artificial intelligence within the blockchain space. Days after the Broccoli memecoin frenzy took over multiple chains, CZ teased an upcoming tutorial on AI agents for BNB Chain. His latest social media post suggests that AI integration could be a key focus for the blockchain in 2025.
On February 16, Zhao shared a screenshot from DeFiLlama on X, revealing that the BNB Chain team is preparing a video tutorial on AI agents. This aligns with BNB Chain’s 2025 roadmap, which prioritizes AI-powered blockchain utilities such as automated trading tools and smart contract enhancements.

It all started with a video tutorial. Heard the team is making a new video tutorial on how to create AI Agents on BNB Chain. 🤔😆https://t.co/ASRSzmds0Q pic.twitter.com/Lr4hs2jAdO
The shift suggests that BSC is looking beyond memecoins to embrace more utility-driven applications.
Broccoli Memecoin Sparks a Frenzy Across Chains
The Broccoli meme coin wave began earlier this month after CZ revealed his dog’s name on X. The announcement led to a surge in memecoin creations, with Solana’s Pump.fun seeing over 480 variations and BNB Chain’s Four. meme hosting more than 300. One Solana-based Broccoli token peaked at a $1.5 billion market cap, while a BNB Chain version crossed $90 million. Despite the hype, Zhao reiterated that he is not directly involved in any token launches, leaving it to the community.
The original Broccoli coin on BNB Chainsaw had extreme price swings, with its market cap fluctuating between $3 million and $55 million. Meanwhile, other Broccoli-themed tokens continued to attract speculative trading. Despite the surge in memecoins, Zhao appears to be steering attention toward blockchain applications with tangible use cases, particularly AI.
Community Reaction to AI Agents on BSC
Zhao’s AI-related post received mixed reactions from the crypto community. While some users welcomed the move, others criticized it, claiming BSC is late to the AI trend. One response suggested CZ should focus on enjoying his time out of jail rather than jumping into new trends. He quickly responded, stating that he had already rested enough during his time in jail and emphasized that “being late is not a problem. We keep building.”
If BNB Chain moves forward with AI agent implementation, it will face competition from other blockchains already advancing in the space. Solana and Base have gained traction in AI-driven blockchain applications, putting BSC in a position where it must innovate to catch up. However, Zhao’s statement suggests that he remains committed to continuous development despite external skepticism.
