Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson praises XRP, focusing on its community, leadership, and purpose.
In an X post yesterday, the Cardano founder highlighted XRP’s strengths, emphasizing that the token has a real community, clear leadership, and defined purpose.
Furthermore, he asserted that XRP’s founders are not implicated in controversies such as being on Interpol’s watchlist for fraud allegations, setting them apart from certain figures in the cryptocurrency space.
Hoskinson Shades Hex Founder
This commentary is a subtle jab at Richard Schuele, popularly known as Richard Heart, the creator of Hex and PulseChain.
Last month, Interpol put Schuele on red notice for misappropriating users’ funds to the tune of $12 million on luxury goods. The development comes after the U.S. SEC accused Schuele of fraud and violating federal securities law in 2023.
The Cardano founder recently triggered discussions about Schuele’s red notice when he reflected on his strong stance against X users associated with Hex or PulseChain.
According to an X post yesterday, Hoskinson stated that his new policy requires him to block any X profile that mentions PulseChain or Hex. He suggested that interacting with such users is dangerous due to what he referred to as their ‘divorce from reality.’
In this context, he praised XRP, emphasizing that its community, leadership, and purpose are genuine, adding that its founders are not on Interpol’s red notice.
Hoskinson Reconciles with XRP Community
Meanwhile, Hoskinson, who had been at loggerheads with the XRP community and the Ripple team, has taken significant steps to settle the multi-year dispute.
This dispute revolves around allegations that the team behind Ethereum influenced the SEC to sue Ripple in December 2020. However, the Cardano founder reconciled with XRP community members via an apology issued in a livestream in November.
At the time, he proposed a partnership with Ripple that could see the company’s RLUSD stablecoin launch on Cardano, with XRP potentially integrated into the privacy-focused sidechain, Midnight.
So far, the Cardano founder has discussed the potential partnership with Ripple execs, including Brad Garlinghouse and David Schwartz.
