Worldcoin announced that individuals in Poland could access their World ID verification as of September 18th. The press release stated that individuals would be able to orb-verify their World ID in Warsaw.

According to Worldcoin, individuals can “anonymously authenticate as humans online.”

The statement mentioned that verifying the World IDs would prove useful for using many online applications. The release also stated that businesses that often struggle with differentiating between real people and spam bots online would reward individuals who verify their humanness through the Worldcoin program.

Worldcoin’s press statement cited the Armatis Customer Experience Index study conducted by SW Research on behalf of Armatis in April 2023 as justification for the need for services such as Worldcoin’s humanness verification. According to the study, two out of three Poles declared that they often had more negative (42.6%) than positive (17.1%) emotions during their contact with customer service AI-based chatbots or voice bots. 3 out of 4 of Poles also declared that they would rather wait in a queue for human service than be immediately served by a bot.

Worldcoin pointed out these findings and stated that the use of World ID could help alleviate the issue many Polish citizens face. Worldcoin stated that its solutions would help differentiate between bots and humans on the internet in a manner that also helps preserve anonymity.

The press release stated that individuals can access verification orbs via the official Worldcoin website or the WorldApp. Individuals can visit the designated orb locations to have their iris scanned to verify their humanness and uniqueness.

Worldcoin continues its global expansion

The launch of Worldcoin’s humanness verification in Poland comes as Worldcoin continues to expand its influence and services around the world.

Worldcoin previously announced that access to its World ID’s uniqueness and humanness verification was now possible on blockchains outside Ethereum. Worldcoin’s joint venture with the interoperability platform Wormhole facilitated the integration of World ID into Solana. Consequently, builders on the layer-1 blockchain can now integrate World ID into their apps and platforms.

“Bringing World ID to Solana is a big step forward for identity verification. With the integration of World ID and Wormhole Queries, developers can now easily build applications that prioritize real users across chains, improving trust in decentralized ecosystems.”

Worldcoin had previously announced the launch of humanness verifications in Austria, expanding its operations in Europe.

Worldcoin also announced its expansion in Asia through its partnership with the Malaysian government. Worldcoin partnered with the Malaysian government’s applied research and development arm to promote digital proof of humanness in the Southeast Asian country.
