Cardano founder Charles Hoskinson is not taking criticism lying down. He recently fired back on X (formerly Twitter) at SynthLuvr, founder of blockchain interoperability platform Mynth, who questioned Hoskinson’s role in the Cardano ecosystem following the much-anticipated Chang upgrade.

I'm not involved technically? What the hell do people think that I do at IOG? https://t.co/mK052umM5f

The Cardano blockchain had successfully completed its Chang upgrade, introducing a new voting and power structure to the network and thus decentralizing its governance model. The upgrade went live on Sunday, empowering community members to elect governance representatives and vote on development proposals.

In a YouTube video, Hoskinson announced the release of the Chang upgrade, shedding light on the development’s potential impact on the crypto industry. Elaborating on Chang’s significance in reshaping the notion of decentralization, he cited the major dangers behind centralized authorities.

A Cardano representative further drew the community’s attention to the blockchain’s plan to retain Hoskinson to accelerate the prototyping and development of the Ouroboros Peras and Leios. While some community members supported this, SynthLuvr strongly disagreed, stating that “Charles leaving Cardano would be a positive.” Although acknowledging Hoskinson’s contributions, SynthLuvr suggested he step back and let the community take the reins.

In a follow-up post, SynthLuvr expressed a desire to work with Hoskinson’s Input Output Global (IOG) if Hoskinson wasn’t the CEO. He also claimed that Hoskinson is not involved in IOG’s technical activities and suggested that platforms like Hydra could be used for Cardano’s core development, including scaling, even without Hoskinson’s leadership.

However, the Cardano founder didn’t hold back, responding directly to SynthLuvr’s comments and questioning his role at IOG if he’s not technically involved. The community rallied behind Hoskinson, criticizing SynthLuvr for his remarks.
