The monthly transaction rate has quadrupled over the past six months, demonstrating the growing adoption of permanent storage solutions.

AR.IO: Innovating Decentralized Access and Data Retrieval

AR.IO, the brainchild of Permanent Data Solutions, has been instrumental in decentralizing access to Arweave, ensuring the sustainability of the permaweb. Leveraging extensive experience in system architecture, Phil Mataras, the founder of AR.IO, recognized Arweave's potential for permanent data storage early on. However, acknowledging Arweave's limitations, AR.IO developed solutions to address data retrieval challenges associated with the Arweave network.

In addition to addressing the need for private data storage within Arweave, AR.IO introduced the Arweave File System (ArFS) in 2020. This innovative system, unveiled at the first Open Web Foundry, facilitated encrypted data organization in a hierarchical structure.
