Shiba Inu marketing specialist Lucie recently explained how the upcoming TREAT Token benefits the SHIB ecosystem amid queries and misconceptions.

Shiba Inu is gearing up for a significant expansion with the introduction of its latest addition, the TREAT token. Lucie’s disclosure came on the back of comments from some proponents following the announcement of a $12 million funding round dedicated to its development.

Benefits of TREAT to the Shiba Inu Ecosystem

She shed light on the pivotal role TREAT will play within the SHIB ecosystem. At its core is the function as the ecosystem reward token. Once operational, users engaging in activities such as staking or participating in liquidity pools with their SHIB holdings will be rewarded with TREAT tokens.

$TREAT holds importance for $SHIB

Why? :

1.Shiba Ecosystem Reward Token: $TREAT serves as the ecosystem reward token. Once launched, whenever you stake or dig in pools with your $SHIB, you’ll earn free $TREAT tokens.

2.Utility and Governance:

The Crypto Basic recently called attention to this, emphasizing how Shiba Inu community members could earn TREAT. This approach incentivizes active participation within the ecosystem and fosters its growth and sustainability.

Lucie further noted that, unlike conventional reward tokens, TREAT offers more than just a passive benefit. According to the marketing strategist, TREAT serves a dual purpose as both a governance and gas token within the upcoming Layer 3 blockchain.

Notably, she stressed that this extensive functionality grants users voting rights and facilitates transactions, adding tangible value to the ecosystem beyond mere incentives.

Moreover, TREAT and SHIB are designed to complement each other seamlessly. Through activities like staking, users not only contribute to the ecosystem’s development but also gain access to governance opportunities and rewards provided by TREAT.

Lucie further elaborated on the significance of TREAT in comparison to other tokens within the ecosystem. While Bone ShibaSwap (BONE) powers the ecosystem’s layer-2 network Shibarium, TREAT is poised to serve a similar function for the upcoming layer-2 chain.

Shiba Inu’s Extensive Goal

The goal, as noted by Lucie in a subsequent post, is to elevate all tokens within the Shiba Inu ecosystem equally. This inclusive approach will ensure that no token is left behind, with each token offering a unique combination of governance and utility. From SHIB to BONE to LEASH, and now TREAT, every token plays a vital role in shaping the future of the ecosystem.

The goal is simple:

PUSH ALL TOKENS in the Shiba Ecosystem equally.
Nothing is left behind.

However, it is important to note that the Shiba Inu ecosystem only boasts three existing tokens as of press time: SHIB, BONE and LEASH. The ecosystem team has not yet launched TREAT, which would represent the last volatile token in the ecosystem. After TREAT, the team will introduce SHI, a stablecoin.
