Circle, a leading stablecoin issuer, announced a groundbreaking partnership with Overdare, a joint venture founded by South Korean gaming giants Krafton and Naver Z Corporation.
Circle Collaborates with Krafton and Naver Z's Overdare for Roblox-Style Metaverse
This collaboration aims to revolutionize the gaming and metaverse landscape by offering a “Roblox-style” platform powered by Circle's programmable wallets and $USDC stablecoin.
According to today's announcement, Overdare aims to leverage Circle's programmable wallets to develop its user-generated content gaming platform.
This strategic alliance will enable gaming content creators to seamlessly integrate in-game wallets to receive payments in $USDC, providing a modern and efficient solution for digital asset transactions across the gaming ecosystem.
Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire explained in his article that the collaboration paves the way for a large-scale Metaverse reminiscent of Roblox, built on Circle's wallet infrastructure and $USDC stablecoin.
This ambitious project, called Overdare, is scheduled to launch in the second half of 2024 and promises users access to cutting-edge artificial intelligence-generating tools.
One of the key innovations of the Overdare platform is its integration with Settlus, the Cosmos-based layer-1 blockchain.
This integration will create a robust revenue distribution model for creators, enabling them to effectively monetize their contributions to the metaverse ecosystem.
“We believe this partnership will be a catalyst in shaping the future of digital entertainment and ultimately foster an innovative Web3 environment for everyone,” Allaire commented on the transformative potential of the collaboration.
