The price of the IOTA crypto asset rose by 13% after the announcement was made by project founder Dominik Schiener regarding the onboarding of real-world assets (RWA) worth $100 million.

At a recent AMA session held by crypto exchange KuCoin, the founder of IOTA announced the launch of the IOTA Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), scheduled for March 31, 2024. At the same time, Schiener revealed news about IOTA’s work on tokenization of real assets (RWA) also during the AMA session.

These assets, once integrated and tokenized on IOTA, will open up opportunities for profit within this ecosystem. Schiener elaborated on IOTA’s expansion strategy, emphasizing expansion into the EU and a focus on Asia — Korea, Japan and Singapore.

Schiener’s vision for the IOTA project is to make it the leading DLT for asset tokenization, in compliance with the requirements of regulatory authorities around the world.

At the time of writing, IOTA is trading at $0.2422, having increased by about 13% over the past day. It is noteworthy that the daily trading volume of the asset has increased almost five times within 24 hours and currently amounts to almost $150 million.
