Ripple CEO Inscribes $XRP Victory Ruling Date “07-13-2023” on His Arm.
Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse gets $XRP victory tattoo, tease no big announcement at the New York Celebratory party.
As the Ripple and $XRP communities converge to celebrate the $XRP victory ruling in New York City on Friday night, the Chief Executive Officer of Ripple, Brad Garlinghouse, took to the X platform to clear the air.
A few hours before the commencement of the celebratory party, Garlinghouse briefed the eager $XRP community on a bit of what to expect at the event. Specifically, he clarified that there would be no “big” announcements at the party — as the community had widely speculated.
Garlinghouse stated that the event was explicitly to commemorate $XRP’s conquest against the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
“And as for any “announcement” that people are wondering about, tonight’s event is just a celebration,” the Ripple CEO remarked.

Ripple CEO Inscribes $XRP To Mark Victory
Meanwhile, Garlinghouse unveiled another surprise package for the $XRP community. He shared one of his latest efforts aimed at equally marking the significance of the $XRP victory.
In particular, Garlinghouse tattooed his right hand with a logo of $XRP. Interestingly, it was not a mere inscription of $XRP to his arm. A closer look at the image he posted showed that the $XRP tattoo also contained an inscription of the date $XRP got the non-security ruling from the United States court. It read “07 – 13 – 2023.”
Expectedly, Garlinghouse’s action sparked massive reactions from the $XRP community and beyond. Ripple’s Chief Technology Officer, David Schwartz, expressed delight at the sight. Schwartz stated he would have gotten a similar tattoo for himself save for certain circumstances.
An X user, known for his pro-Bitcoin stance, remarked sarcastically, “I like this one. $XRP is the best coin at this time.”
Meanwhile, some $XRP community members believe the tattoo conveys hidden messages beyond the obvious. An X account with username “UtilityFTW” argued the inscription is proof against the growing notion that Ripple was abandoning $XRP for other digital assets in their payment products.
