The IOTA Shimmer Network has gained popularity within just a few months of its launch and has become one of the most preferred platforms for launching new projects. IOTA co-founder Dominik SCHIENER tweeted about the milestone achievement of the Shimmer Layer 1 network. He reported 22,000 daily active addresses on the Shimmer network after launching the Treasures of Shimmer campaign.
Treasures of Shimmer, a two-week incentive campaign launched on May 3, 2023, will reward projects and users for participating in a public test of the EVM network and dApps deployed on it. Participants will be able to take part in a prize pool of 1,300,000 SMR tokens.
In his tweet, Schiener praises Shimmer's technology and ecosystem. He also believes in the potential of the SMR token. In its Q1 2023 report, the IOTA Foundation speaks to the success of the Shimmer Network, stating that the IOTA staging network has been running successfully without any bugs or issues since its launch about seven months ago.
