VeChain (VET), DNV GL and Haier Internet of Clothing (IoC) have entered into a tripartite strategic partnership to empower the clothing lifecycle management system using blockchain and IoT technology, resulting in the latter moving to integrate VeChainThor.
April 1st, 2019, Haier organized the “Global Release of the Achievements of COSMOPlat Industrial Internet Eco Brand Platform” at the Hannover Exhibition Center, where Haier’s state of the art innovations were showcased. The tech firm also introduced their newly formed ecosystem partner COSMOPlat Platform, an ecological backbone of Haier.
The firm operates as an open industrial internet platform having self-governing intellectual property rights, a characteristic that makes it the maiden platform where third parties take part in a whole industrial process.
At the event, the three firms singed the Tripartite Strategic Partnership on behalf of Qingdao Haier Washing Machine Co. Ltd, DNV GL, and VeChain. The three firms are to collaborate in integrating the VeChainThor Blockchain-based clothing traceability solution into Haier IoC purposely to facilitate the Digital Carbon Ecosystem (DCE).
COSMOPlat open platform members will now operate on the VeChainThor Blockchain. The collaboration is fashioned to heighten the deployment of My Story™ to disrupt the clothing world. My Story™ is an innovation co-developed VeChain and DNV GL.

The collaboration will result in Haier IoC platform deploying DCE, the maiden apparel lifecycle management platform in the world. The partnership mainly allows Haier to make use of public blockchain technology in any area that will better clothing lifecycle and management.
The partnership will make Haier use VeChainThor blockchain in the smart shopping, smart inventory management, and tracking system.
