Grant programs introduced on Tezos ecosystem to support creators and builders | Invezz

Tezos announced new grant programs to support creators and developers exploring the Tezos community. The hubs involved are Tezos India, TZ APAC, Tezos Commons, Tezos Africa, Tezos Israel, and TZ Connect.  The programs will be accessible to candidates across the globe and will fund Tezos community projects to expand grassroots activity and developer talent across the ecosystem.

Tezos marked record growth in 2021

Tezos, widely regarded as one of the best-developed blockchain ecosystems in the industry, registered a 1,200 percent increase of network activity. In the summer of 2021, contract calls exceeded 2 million. The growth has attracted the interest of creators and developers seeking a collaborative, inclusive, opportunity-rich community. The grant programs will support organizations, people, and ideas dedicated to Tezos ecosystem development.

Tezos hosts developments in gaming, music, NFT art, sporting franchises, real estate, finance and central banks, international NGOs, and more. It features a rapidly developing DeFi ecosystem with ERC-20 bridges for AMM platforms gathering momentum, yield farming protocols, and low-gas cross-chain utility.

Tezos India, TZ APAC, Tezos Commons, Tezos Africa, Tezos Israel, and TZ Connect are the ecosystems involved in the grant program. Tezos Commons will offer grants of up to $10,000 to candidates based in North America. This program places an emphasis on Commons’ mission to support developers.

TZ APAC plans to make ecosystem growth grants available to cultivate new concepts through small-level funding. The program will expand Tezos’ reach to new creators and builders to introduce early-stage concepts.

Innovation hub Tezos Israel is targeting builders and students aiming to develop decentralized apps. Their grants will make it possible for recipients to do this on Tezos by giving them the means to create powerful applications.

Tezos Africa will offer grants for initiatives aimed at solving challenges in Africa. The grants aim to introduce young people in Africa to Blockchain and Tezos by supporting continent-wide activities and projects.
