In a recent tweet, he stated that if a car spots a Shiba Inu puppy on the street, it might render the meme money.

While some debated over whether Musk was confirming his support for DOGE or adopting its canine competitor SHIB, others contended that a Tesla might begin mining the satirical money.

Spiritus, a three-wheeler created by Tesla’s Canadian competitor Daymak has already begun mining Bitcoin, Dogecoin, and Ethereum using a prototype to appeal to the crypto community.

When it comes to Musk’s Twitter presence, the line between jokes and genuine intentions is nearly nonexistent.

On April Fool’s Day, the billionaire tweeted about SpaceX flying Dogecoin to the Moon, a ridiculous promise that even most Musk fans saw as a prank. However, SpaceX will launch a lunar cargo dubbed DOGE-1 in 2022.

Musk also endorsed the notion of building a hot tub powered by Dogecoin mining in late May. Some of Musk’s admirers began to urge him on Dogecoin payments as well. On May 11, the entrepreneur asked Twitter followers if they wanted Tesla to adopt the spoof coin.

Although the “Yes” option received an overwhelming majority in the vote, the e-car giant has remained silent on adopting DOGE as a new payment option after abandoning Bitcoin in mid-May owing to environmental concerns.

The Dogecoin Whale Arrives

Musk further stated in a second tweet that his and Grimes’ kid X A-12, who was born in May 2020, is one of the largest Dogecoin whales.

Musk stated in February that he purchased DOGE for his “infant hodler.” It is logical to think that Dogecoin purchasers have nothing to fear until X A-12 learns the phrase “sell.”

For the time being, people may enjoy seeing the joke coin among the top ten cryptocurrency projects, despite a 72% drop from the peak on May 8.
