Monero (XMR) is a decentralized digital currency with a high level of security and anonymity. It was formed on April 18, 2014 as a hard fork of ByteCoin currency. As alleged, Monero makes it possible to keep transactions and the amount of funds the user possesses confidential. The currency is based on the CryptoNote protocol, and mined by using the PoW algorithm. An important feature of Monero mining is the emphasis on small nodes — support for the computing power of the CPU and GPU.
