FlyEdge, a B2B platform for tokenized airline loyalty, has opened a public preview of its blockchain infrastructure for airlines and travelers. The preview allows users to verify the full on-chain process, including token issuance, conversion, transfers, and redemption.
The system runs on StreamChain, an EVM-compatible blockchain focused on aviation loyalty. Airlines remain in control of their loyalty tokens. Through FlyEdge’s token factory, they can issue, mint, burn, and transfer tokens, while transactions can be checked through on-chain receipts. The model is designed to give airlines more control over how their loyalty value is issued and used.
FlyEdge also aims to make blockchain easier for travelers. Accounts use non-custodial smart wallets with passkey protection, while network fees are sponsored. Users therefore do not need seed phrases, gas tokens, or traditional crypto wallets.
The preview was released in 12 languages on August 20. FlyEdge said it has verified 100 pilot assets and activity across the platform on-chain. The company stressed that the preview does not represent commercial deployment by external airlines. It is intended for airlines, travelers, and media organizations to test the system.
