Kraken crypto exchange has appointed ex-Twitter executive Mike Davidson as its new Vice President of design.

The company said Davidson’s appointment will help the exchange strengthen clients’ experiences across the full suite of products it offers.

Mike will be bringing experience not only from social media giant Twitter but also from big names such as NBC and Disney.

Institutions Recruit More Crypto Talent

The crypto industry is riding on a high wave at the moment. As a result, the big players in the industry are seriously looking for top talents that can help them stay on top of the game.

However, Mike’s recent hire shows that companies are not only interested in picking talents from the industry. They are now looking to leverage the experience and expertise of people from other industries to bolster their offerings to customers.

Kraken’s chief product officer, Jeremy Welch, stated that Kraken’s recent hire will help the company to focus on growing into new markets. “Mike’s strong track record of design leadership will have a huge impact at Kraken,” he added.

Kraken noted that the company has seen the need to onboard highly-experienced experts due to the growing popularity in assets such as blockchain technology, DAOs, and NFTs. The company said it wants to expand its offerings and make its services available to users in other industries.

More Employment Opportunities Spring Up In The Crypto Sector

The flourishing crypto sector is increasingly creating full employment opportunities for job seekers. The concentration was initially within the finance and fintech sector. But crypto firms are now extending their search for their ideal candidates to other sectors.

Bloomberg recently compiled job data from LinkedIn which shows that crypto job openings are now available across the US. Based on the analysis of the data, Bloomberg discovered that these companies are seeking to fill roles in specific sections. These include Bitcoin mining, financial-related roles, as well as blockchain development roles.

As the Vice President of Design, Mike will be working with the product, marketing, and engineering department of the company. He is coming into his new role with over 2 decades of experience from top companies, especially in the media industry.
