Shiba Inu ($SHIB) has teamed up with John Richmond, an Italian high-end fashion designer, to produce a non-fungible token (NFT)-based fashion line later this year. The meme-inspired cryptocurrency team has obtained adverts on the ‘1825’-numbered tram in Milan’s city center thanks to John Richmond’s relationship with the municipal council.

Unique NFT Experience

The John Richmond x SHIB collection, which will feature 10,000 NFTs when it debuts in the second quarter of the year, will have an ad campaign to support it. However, according to WWD, the business is still working on a “unique” experience for the NFTs.

According to the source, the presentation, dubbed “Legends Live Forever,” will include NFT’s physical counterparts on the John Richmond runway during Milan Fashion Week in September. The brand’s Milan and Shanghai flagship locations and its e-commerce platforms will offer the collection as a “see now, buy now” offering.

Other fashion brands have recently adopted NFTs. Moreover, NFT variants of shoes are now available from Plein Sport, a metaverse-native brand. There have been some changes in Shiba Inu’s recent history. The cryptocurrency’s developers have announced a forthcoming launch of a token burning site to assist the cryptocurrency’s users in limiting the total amount of tokens in circulation.

By making it simpler for platform users to burn SHIB regularly, the burn portal will help reduce the amount of SHIB in circulation. It’s common practice in the cryptocurrency industry to burn tokens since demand remains stable or rises as supply is reduced, and this essentially deflationary impact pushes a token’s price up.
