Piñazza, who provide financial support to mental health charities, launched the Piñazza Piñas on www.pinazza.fun today. NFT collectors are encouraged to pair, match, and mix. Everyone who mints a token (Piña) will get a free future airdrop of a Piñazza Pizza NFT. A few lucky members of the community will receive one hundred tokens. Part of the sales proceeds will go toward the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS) via a DAO.
Who’s behind the project?
The project was developed by Wiley Mathews, an early crypto enthusiast who helped produce Crypto HQ Davos, the 20 Million Dollar Pizza Party, the Crypto Psychedelic Conference, and other hallmark events, and former art director for Nickelodeon Animation Studios Michael Lennicx. The latter’s impressive roster of clients includes MTV, Lego, Sesame, Marvel Comics, and more.
Co-creator Mathews explained the initiative:
“We’re putting fun into the NFT space through an innovative gamified NFT drop that also supports a very good cause. Piñazza NFTs are not just compelling collectibles but they will create future opportunities for fun and utility throughout the metaverse, so we’re really excited to introduce this to the community.”
Lennicx added:
“In creating Piñazza, we pushed the boundaries of standard pfp NFTs: we explored character posing, extreme expressions, and more elaborate backgrounds. This resulted in a higher end product and a wild variety of characters, some unpredictable, that I think will bring endless laughs and inspiration to the NFT community.”
10K unique NFTs, 10K Pizza NFTs, full commercial token use
The drop will feature decentralized governance, where the community decides Piñazza’s future and Full IP and commercial use of each Piñazza. The first drop entails 10,000 uniquely generated Piña NFTs, and the second – 10,000 Pizza NFTs. Moreover, there will be more than 50 exclusive ‘Pinazza Perfects” within the whole set.
The drop includes fair limits on mint amounts and an instant reveal of NFTs and is securely hosted on IPFS. The full collection incorporates more than 300 million possible combinations of unique Piñazzas. Piñazza will donate $50,000 to mental health charities selected by community supporters at conclusion of sales.
