NFT or Non-Fungible Token craze is still soaring even though the crypto market is suffering. Recently, Alibaba has sponsored a Taobao Festival in Shanghai. A festival is a yearly event that represents Chinese art and entrepreneurship. The festival is hosted by Taobao, an E-Commerce platform, every year. At the festival artist, Huang Heshan showcased NFT artworks depicting socialist cyberpunk. To showcase the piece, the artists had partnered with Near Protocol and Web3Games.

NFT will be showcased for the first time

Recently, it has been revealed that the NFT art depicting socialistic cyberpunk will be showcased for the first time at the annual event. Furthermore, the festival will witness a collaboration between Near Protocol, Web3Games, and the Chinese artist Huang Heshan. The partnership will tend to sell real estate based on Non-Fungible Token.

Would the concept of NFTs be complicated?

Recently, Huang Heshan, the NFT artist, had an interview with the Blockcast. In the interview, he mentioned how he was astonished by the working of NFTs.

According to Heshan, he used to believe that the concept of blockchains and NFTs would be very challenging.

Near Protocol is cheaper than Ethereum

In the interview with the Blockcast, the socialistic cyberpunk artist laid an emphasis on the Near Protocol. He noted that the cost of minting an NFT token on the platform of NEAR is meager.

Heshan explained that the cost of casting Non-Fungible Tokens on the ethereum blockchain is worth hundreds or thousands of dollars. However, NEAR Protocol costs only a few cents to launch such a token.

Moreover, Heshan believes that the platform of NEAR is more sustainable than Ethereum.

NFTs have witnessed a lot of growth

Over the past year, we have observed that NFTs have witnessed a lot of growth. But, on the other hand, virtual real estate powered by cryptocurrencies has also seen a lot of growth.

To prove the growth of the asset type, we can take the example of the digital land plot within the blockchain game Decentraland. Last month a land plot was sold for more than $900k. Furthermore, Kieran Warwick, the co-founder of illuviam, had flipped a virtual land plot that he bought last year in Acie infinity for a gain of more than 9k%.
