Russian court removed the Binance website from the blacklisted websites, in a recent ruling. Back in September 2020, the website of the world’s largest crypto exchange was blacklisted by the Russian telecom regulator. On Thursday, January 20, 2020, the Arkhangelsk Regional Court revoked the decision of putting Binance on the blacklist.

Russian Court Decision Has Not Affected Binance Trading

Even though the Russian Court has pullout Binance from the blacklist, it was unable to impact the trading of the exchange in the country. Back in September, the court blacklisted the website because the site was charged for disseminating prohibited information. Even though the website was blocked, it was still available across the country without any additional access tool like VPNs.

Despite the ruling by the Russian court, it has been seen that several sources are still showing Binance’s website on the blacklisted websites. Binance website is still on the list of prohibited sites by Roskomnadzor, however, the access is not restricted anymore.

Binance Still Waiting for Court Documents

Gleb Kostarev, head of operations of Binance Russia, has said that the exchange is still waiting to get the documents from the Russian court of this latest decision. Binance might receive those documents from the court in the next two weeks. He said that as soon as they will receive the document, they will send the notification to remove their website from the list.

According to Kostarev, the blacklisting of their website has not at all affected the trading volume of the exchange. He mentioned:

“Though the September ban had no impact on our volumes in Russia, for us it was important to protect our reputation and appeal in this case.”

Binance website is not the only one to face the prohibition as the Russian regulator had also added the BestChange.ru website to the blacklist in August 2020.
