Leading cryptocurrency exchange Binance has announced its support for upcoming network upgrades and Hard Forks of two major cryptocurrencies, Decred ($DCR) and MultiversX ($EGLD).
Binance Will Support Decred ($DCR) and MultiversX ($EGLD) Network Upgrades and Hard Forks
These important updates aim to improve the capabilities and functionality of the respective networks.
Decred ($DCR) Network Upgrade And Hard Fork:
Decred ($DCR) network upgrade and accompanying Hard Fork are planned to occur at block height 794,368 Decred.
During this time, deposits and withdrawals of $DCR tokens will be temporarily suspended from approximately August 29, 2023 at 17:00.
MultiversX ($EGLD) Network Upgrade And Hard Fork:
In contrast, MultiversX ($EGLD) network upgrade is set to occur on the MultiversX blockchain at block height of 1,126 MultiversX. This expected event will take place on 30 August 2023 around 18:45.
As part of the upgrade process, users will experience temporary suspension of $EGLD deposits and withdrawals. This process is expected to start from approximately 30 August 2023 at 17:45.
It should be noted that despite these network upgrades and hard forks, trading of $DCR and $EGLD tokens will continue uninterrupted on the Binance platform.
