According to Webrazzi, one of Turkey's leading banks, Garanti BBVA, has taken a significant step by introducing Garanti BBVA Crypto, a crypto wallet and transfer service. It is currently unclear when Garanti BBVA Crypto will be activated for customers as the service is currently only available to bank employees.
Although the current phase of the service does not offer cryptocurrency trading functionality, it is planned to be added to the platform in the future. The move confirms Garanti BBVA's serious interest in cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, as well as their intention to grow and expand in this area, as evidenced by their frequent job postings.
At the end of last year, Garanti BBVA published a list of vacancies in the field of digital asset management. A LinkedIn post for the Digital Asset Liquidity Management Project Manager / Product Owner position indicated an active search. This was not the bank's first job listing related to cryptocurrencies and other digital assets, as they previously posted a job listing for the position of "Crypto Asset Officer/Expert".
