With the new Layerswap solution, users of Coinbase and other leading crypto-exchanges will now be able to transfer funds to zkSync Era, the Layer-2 protocol that scales Ethereum with cutting-edge ZK technology.
Coinbase, Kraken, KuCoin: traders can access zkSync Era thanks to Layerswap
Layerswap announced its integration with zkSync Era, which will allow users to transfer funds from a variety of sources, including Coinbase, to zkSync Era in minutes.

In addition to Coinbase, Layerswap’s list of crypto-exchanges also includes KuCoin, Kraken, Binance.US, Huobi, Bittrex, Bitfinex, and others.
Hence, thanks to Layerswap’s new seamless solution, users will be able to make frictionless transfers of tokens such as ETH, USDC, LRC, from 17 exchanges to 16 networks, and transfers from 9 networks to CEXs, as well as cross-chain transfers.
Moreover, with the new integration with zkSync Era, Layerswap aims to join the huge growth being experienced by the Layer 2 protocol scaling Ethereum with cutting-edge ZK technology.
Coinbase and the connection to the zkSync Era ecosystem
Overall, the zkSync Era project has been funded to the tune of $458 million by the Ethereum Foundation and other venture capitalists such as a16z, Dragonfly, Coinbase Ventures, Blockchain Capital, and others.
Since its launch, zkSync Era has seen a huge surge in network activity, the highest that any Ethereum scaling solution has ever experienced in such a short period.
As Messari points out, zkSync Era’s growth in Q1 2023 was greater than even Polygon’s zkEVM in terms of TVL (or Total Value Locked in DeFi).
In the few weeks since the launch of@zksync's Era and @0xPolygon's zkEVM, the zkSync ecosystem has been growing at a rapid pace.

zkSync’s new Layer 2 scaling solution can scale Ethereum without compromising network security, offering fast, low-power transactions.
Not only that, zkSync is also part of the rollup category, which are those blockchain innovations that allow a group of transactions that occur off-chain to be wrapped, validating only one transaction made in the main substrate.
The future airdrop of zkSync Era
Recently, there has been an analysis of everything there is to know about a future airdrop of zkSync Era.
First, it is worth mentioning that the zkSync technology was invented by Matter Labs, the company that set out to scale Ethereum through Zero-Knowledge proofs, so as to maintain the principles of freedom and decentralization.
Currently, there are two versions of zkSync, the 1.0 version called zkSync Lite and the 2.0 version called zkSync Era, which, unlike the former, offers the ability to implement smart contracts.
That said, in order to achieve a future airdrop of zkSync Era, it is deemed appropriate, for those who have not already done so, to transfer some of their ETH onto the two blockchains. Using MetaMask’s self-custodial crypto-wallet, it will be possible to transfer one’s ETH to zkSync Lite and zkSync Era.
