Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong took to Youtube in a live 'Ask Me Anything' session, where he answered a variety of questions from the cryptocurrency community.

Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong touched upon a variety of topics such as community trust ratings for altcoins and fraud prevention.

One question was in regards to the availability and release date of the Coinbase debit card in the United states, and although the Coinbase CEO wasn't able to give a specific release date, he did confirm that the debit card is coming to US customers.

Last month, Chepicap reported that Coinbase announced the launch of a new crypto debit card in the UK.

This is one of the first cards of its kind that allows customers to directly spend their crypto holdings via conversion into fiat currency, as opposed to similar prepaid cards, which require crypto to be loaded on to them prior to use.

We’re excited to announce Coinbase Card, a Visa debit card that lets UK customers spend crypto as effortlessly as the money in their bank. Available today in the UK, and in the EU in the coming months. We'll look to expand internationally later this year. https://t.co/Yf36PL57S8 pic.twitter.com/2LJRj49Y60

'We have been really excited to see the amount of excitement for that in the UK.', Armstrong said.

Unfortunately, this Coinbase Card, along with the expense-managing Coinbase Card App, was only released to customers in the UK.

However, according to Armstrong, its entry into the United States, most likely, isn’t something we have to wait a long time for.
