Movantis, a financial infrastructure platform for international payments, has integrated the Stellar network to expand its cross-border payment services. The announcement was made at Meridian 2026, the annual conference organized by the Stellar Development Foundation.

Movantis will use the network to transfer value between markets, while its local partners will handle liquidity, currency conversion, and payments to recipients. The first planned use case will focus on transfers from the United States to El Salvador. Movantis plans to use USDC on Stellar for settlements, with local partners converting funds into US dollars and completing payouts.

Transactions can settle around the clock, including weekends and holidays. This could also reduce the amount of capital that payment companies need to hold in advance to process transfers.

Movantis also plans to support reverse transfers, allowing businesses on Stellar to reach recipients across Latin America. The company expects the integration to support additional business and consumer payments in the future.
