Users Can Now Perform Paper Check on XRPLedger as Ripple Launches New Features

Blockchain platform Ripple has launched a new feature on the XRP Ledger today, June 18, for users to enjoy better services while using XRP for transaction. Known as “Checks amendment,” the update had gained support from majority of trusted validators previously, hence resulting to the decision to inaugurate it.

According to a detailed post on XRPL webiste, the Checks amendment update introduces ‘’Checks’’ to the XRP Ledger. These Checks work similarly to paper checks, allowing sender signs a transaction to create a Check for a specific maximum amount and recipient.

The user can later cash the Check, this allows the recipient to receive the specified amount. Once teh Check is cashed, the movement of money begins. However, depending on the balance of the sender and available liquidity, cashing of the check may fail.

Ripple also added an option that would make the Check remain in the ledger if its fails so that the recipient can try later.

The blockchain platform has released this new Check update on its ledger and encouraged developers to write new transactions and ledger typed based on the Checks amendment.

Ripple is regarded as one of the scalable blockchain platform with regards to financial transactions and this latest Checks amendment is expected to add more features to its existing options, giving users more flexibility and better experience.

Ripple’s XRP has been made attempts to liven up within the market yesterday as sentiments continue to grow positively for the cryptocurrency. Despite losing its spot to Tether on the coin rankings, investors and analysts continue to have bullish expectation for XRP.

Blockchain enthusiast cryptic poet, on Twitter, claimed that Ripple’s XRP is trying to liven up in the market, as the cryptocurrency holds strong support above $0.18.

Despite all glitches and criticism, XRP continues to wax strong within the top echelons of cryptocurrencies and  it continues to maintain wide spate of partnerships. At the time of publication, XRP is valued for $0.190899.
