Zcash ($ZEC) has shown a strong recovery after the sharp decline experienced in recent days, gaining more than 20% in value in the last 24 hours.
The price increase was influenced by Zcash founder Zooko Wilcox confirming that the project was conducting security work powered by Anthropic’s advanced AI system, Mythos.

Mert Mumtaz, a prominent figure in the Zcash community, stated that a series of significant updates aimed at improving the network’s security and transparency are expected to be rolled out this year.
According to Mumtaz, the Zcash ecosystem is working on three different parallel formal verification processes. In addition, plans include implementing a supply verification mechanism in the Ironwood pool, quantum security studies to increase the network’s resilience against quantum computers, and the development of a new, formally verified Tachyon pool with a simpler mathematical structure.
Having come under intense pressure in recent weeks due to a critical security vulnerability discovered in the Orchard privacy pool, Zcash has begun to regain prominence in the cryptocurrency agenda with announcements regarding expanded security audits and new verification mechanisms.
