Floki, the popular meme coin, is set to make waves in Europe by launching an exchange-traded product (ETP) for its FLOKI token by early 2025.
-
The Floki DAO is currently deliberating on utilizing treasury tokens valued at $2.8 million to provide liquidity for this upcoming ETP, which intends to list on Switzerland’s SIX Swiss Exchange.

As of 2024, FLOKI has surged by 375%, tapping into the burgeoning $112 billion meme coin market and attracting greater institutional interest.
This article delves into Floki’s upcoming ETP in Europe, its liquidity plans, and the continued surge in meme coin adoption in the investment landscape.
Floki’s Planned ETP: A Game Changer for Meme Coins
In a significant leap for the meme coin sector, Floki intends to roll out its ETP, potentially becoming the second meme coin to do so in Europe, following the footsteps of Dogecoin (DOGE). This move not only positions FLOKI within a regulated environment but also recognizes the increasing demand for diversified asset classes in the investment world.
The upcoming vote by the Floki DAO community will decide whether the treasury tokens, acquired through previous market transactions, will be used to ensure early liquidity for the ETP. With 16 billion FLOKI tokens at stake, this vote is crucial for the project’s trajectory. The 48-hour voting window will close by 11:00 UTC on December 27, creating a sense of urgency among community members.
“We’ve been actively working with a respected Asset Manager and an ETP Issuer to launch a Floki ETP (Exchange-Traded Product) for quite a while now. After months of due diligence and painstaking effort, we’ve been told that the Floki ETP is on track to go live in early Q1, 2025,” stated Floki on X (formerly Twitter). This clarity from the project’s leadership indicates substantial progress toward bringing FLOKI closer to mainstream investment avenues.
The Institutional Appeal of Meme Coins
The idea of meme coins entering the regulated investment sphere signifies a broader acceptance among institutional investors. As FLOKI prepares to list on the SIX Swiss Exchange, it’s essential to analyze how this transition might affect the perception and valuation of similar tokens in the long run.
